Once the price has been agreed and the vehicle has been collected, we’ll take care of the rest. Once your vehicle has been scrapped through the appropriate authorised process, a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) will be issued where applicable, providing confirmation that the vehicle has been officially processed for destruction.

THE DEPOLLUTION PROCESS
The depollution process begins with preliminary checks to assess the vehicle for health and safety hazards. The vehicle is then placed on the support frame to gain overhead and below access.

The process starts with the wheels and tyres being removed from the vehicle and the balancing weights detached.
​
The battery is then disconnected and taken out of the vehicle, so that it is safe to withdraw the fuel, oil filler, coolant, washer, brake fluid and power steering caps.

Next the fluids are drained i.e. petrol/diesel, engine/transmission oil, anti-freeze and screen wash. This also includes the suspension system (e.g. shock absorbers) fluids, brake fluid and power-assisted steering system. All fluids are stored separately within bunded storage tanks until collected for safe disposal.

The depollution procedure ends with the catalytic converter(s) and oil filter is removed, and the air conditioning system is de-gassed. The vehicle will then be removed from the frame and stored until further recycling.
